Q: I am looking for a fitted, light blazer but not your typical, classic black one. What other colors, color combos are good for the coming spring/summer season?
A: No matter what other color you are looking for – look for fitted. Make that just as big a priority as finding the right color. Let’s face it, you probably have tons of black, grey, beige clothes already that will go with anyone one of the awesome shades of blazers pictured here. Have fun with it!
This perfectly tailored light tweed blazer (pictured below) has strategically placed leather patches adding unique detailing to an everyday blazer.
Not only that, it is designed to make you look trim and fit in all the right places. That is the key thing to look here. Don’t just look for patterns – make sure they work with your body and ask a stylist to point out why certain patterns are the way they are.
Secondly – you asked about non black, classic item. Perfect for the spring are light, earth tones and this particular color combo goes with any bright green, yellow, blue or purple solid dress or top underneath. It can also go well with nice jeans and sexy heels or boots. Make sure your new blazer buy also goes with the summery, patterned, flowery outfits and tops too!
Figuring out what kind of color works with the most amount of outfits in your existing wardrobe will really help streamline exactly what you are looking for.
Always make sure your non black blazer goes with multiple outfits so it can be a staple item and one you can pay good money for but get even better use out of it.
Invest in such pieces – they are worth it for seasons to come.
Fabric wise – I try to stay away from rayon as they wrinkle too often and too fast and just don’t last long. Look for a breathable cotton, spandex blend instead or even ask for non iron items.
