Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 7 (IANS) A documentary film on veteran actor Madhu a.k.a. Madhavan Nair is on the anvil, which will chronicle his rise to fame in the Malayalam film industry.
The actor has portrayed variety of roles in his career spanning 50 years. While cinematorapher Pushpan is helming the documentary, it will be produced by Light Pillar Visual Media.
The annoucement was made at Pattom Palace by Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma, in the presence of Madhu, Sree Kumaran Thampi, Viji Thampi, Subramanyam Kumar, Rama Chandra Babu, Biju among others.

Maria teams up with Anoop, Jaya
Actress Maria Roy will be seen with actors Anoop Menon and Jaya Soorya in director Aji John’s “Pushpaka Vimanam”.
It will be Maria’s second outing after Roshan Andrews’ 2006 release “Notebook”.
The story of “Pushpaka Vimanam” revolves around passengers on board in an airline named Pushpak and incidents surrounding their lives.
Actress Aparna Nair will also be seen in an important role in the movie.

Panicker to get Ettumanoor Somadasan Puraskar
Poet, playwright and lyricist Kavalam Narayana Panicker will be honoured with the first Ettumanoor Somadasan memorial award.
The Ettumanoor Somadasan Puraskar is instituted by Ettumanoor Somadasan Memorial Trust and includes a cash prize of Rs.25,000, plaque and citation.
The award will be presented to Panicker Nov 21 at a function.

Gowri Lakshmi composes music for “Preview”
Composer Gowri Lakshmi has been roped in to create music for new film “Preview”.
She has also penned lyrics for all six songs in “Preview”. Theme song is a European classical harmony English number sung by Kochi-based Rock of Ages band.
