Building curiosity for ‘Dabangg 2′ important, says Arbaaz

Mumbai, Dec 5 (IANS) The team of “Dabangg 2” will go full throttle for the movie’s promotion soon. Producer-director Arbaaz Khan says it was vital to maintain the curiosity for the movie until now.

“Building curiosity for the film was important. This was the need of the film. People are liking the look of the film which is a positive step,” Arbaaz said at a press conference here Wednesday.

Arbaaz is making his directorial debut with “Dabangg 2”, which is the sequel of 2010 blockbuster “Dabangg”.

He says the film carries forward the story from “Dabangg”, which also starred Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.

“It is a sequel to the film and the story is going ahead. The couple is married now and a scenario of how a married couple can also be romantically inclined to each other is created in the film,” said Arbaaz.

Talking about the promotional strategy of the film, he said they are hard-pressed for time, but they do have some promotional plans now.

“It has been a slightly squeezed film. But we will be promoting the film now. Salman will be doing shows on TV to promote,” he said.

The movie will release Dec 21.
