Bollywood’s popularity around the world was never in doubt. Hollywood’s superstars like Kevin Spacey and John Travolta are also fans.

Films like ‘Kama Sutra’, ‘Bend It Like Beckham’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and now ‘Million Dollar Arm’ are just a few of the crossover films that have touched both sides of the world.

With more and more crossover films, actors swapping from Hollywood to Bollywood and vice versa, skills from around the world being used to perfect a single production and joint ventures becoming the norm, we decided to take a look at Indian actors who made a mark on the west.

Going back in time to Roger Moore’s 1983 James Bond film ‘Octopussy’, we had the light-eyed Kabir Bedi playing ‘Gobinda’ in the film.

Then came Harrison Ford starrer ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ in 1984, where Amrish Puri turned into a fanatic temple priest – Mola Ram.

Cut to 2014, we can come up with a list of stars who keep going back and forth from east to west.

Priyanka Chopra,Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Anil Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat and Amitabh Bachchan are just the cream of actors who featured in some recent Hollywood films.

Take a look at the top 20 on our list of Bollywood stars in Hollywood.
