Mumbai, Jan 27 (IANS) Pune-based Jasraj Joshi Sunday won Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012” at a grand finale here. He took home the trophy, a one-year contract with the channel and a bike.
The 29-year-old defeated Ludhiana-based Shenaz Akhtar, Jaipur’s Mohammad Aman, and Mumbai-based Vishwajeet Borwankar to win the title.
A favourite of the show’s judges — Shankar Mahadevan, Rahul Ram and Sajid-Wajid Ali, Jasraj, a singer by profession, lifted the trophy after nine years of struggle.
The grand finale saw Punjabi rapper, Yo Yo Honey Singh singing a medley of his hit tracks — “Angrezi beat”, “High heels”, “Brown rang” and “Lonely”.
Singer Javed Ali, host of the show, too performed a medley of patriotic songs, while television actors Ankita Lokhande and Gurmeet Chowdhry presented solo dance acts.
The grand finale was co-hosted by Jay Bhanushali and comedian Kapil Sharma, who entertained the audience with their rib tickling humour.
