Gurgaon, Sep 12 (IANS) Actor Ranbir Kapoor had young fans swooning and jumping on his tunes as he gave a live performance of his song Fatafati from forthcoming film Barfi!. The actor has lent his voice to the original song in the movie.
Ranbir – with his co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz – was in the national capital region to promote their new film, which hits theatres this Friday. Accompanying them were music composer Pritam Chakraborty, director Anurag Basu and Siddharth Roy Kapur, managing director, Studios, Disney UTV.
A crowd of over a thousand people were seen hooting, whistling and screaming the names of Priyanka and Ranbir as they entered Ambience Mall in Gurgaon to meet their fans. The actors even apologized to keep their fans waiting for almost two hours.
“I apologise to have kept you people waiting,” said Ranbir, while holding his ears and going up and down in apology.
Priyanka added: “Since we kept you waiting for so long its time that we should entertain you now.”
Team Barfi! performed and danced to songs like Kyon and Fatafati. Ranbir, who has sung Fatafati, a promotional song for the movie, took the microphone to entertain his fans by singing for them.
While performing the title track, the star cast got off the stage to dance and shake hands with the people waiting eagerly to catch a glimpse.
While girls couldn’t stop staring at Ranbir, boys were seen shouting Priyanka’s name. One of Priyanka’s die-hard fan even stood up on the barricade and screamed, “Priyanka I love you.”
