New Delhi, Dec 11 (IANS) There’s good news for lovers of Bengali cinema. Star Jalsha is strengthening its bond with viewers by launching a new Bengali movie channel, called Jalsha Movies.
The channel will commence its journey with the world television premiere of Jeet-starrer blockbuster “Awara”. The channel goes Dec 16.
“We are happy to launch Jalsha Movies with a promise of bringing the best of Bengali blockbusters to our audience. This channel is an extension of our commitment to constantly delight viewers by offering the best in entertainment,” Kevin Vaz, president and general manager, Star Jalsha and president, Ad Sales at Star India Pvt. Ltd, said in a statement.
“We are redefining the pleasure of watching movies by bringing the biggest movie hall in Bengal to every Bengali home,” Vaz added.

What made Shikha Singh take up ’2612’?
TV actress Shikha Singh, who plays Shahana in new TV show “2612”, says she took up the role as it will help her portray different shades.
“All the roles I have played so far, have always been very strong. This one also has different shades, variation and graphs. The show is a thriller drama, so you get to perform more as an actor,” Shikha told IANS.
