Bangalore, Nov 24 (IANS) Sports has emerged as one of the most preferred marketing tools among Indian companies, a survey has revealed.
Majority of the Indian companies now prefer to use sports personalities and use sports events to promote products and services, according to a survey by SportzConsult, a sports management firm.
Over 80 percent of the people who participated in the survey said they have already used sports in their marketing campaigns and out of them, 72 percent have seen positive results.
Of the brands that have not yet used sports as a marketing tool, 77 percent have affirmed it as a course of action in the near future.
Over 100 senior marketing professionals from the sectors such as FMCG, automobiles, telecom and banking and financial services participated in the survey.
“Sports has the power to mobilise and motivate. In the coming years, brand managers have the huge opportunity to leverage the positive attributes of sports and earn better return on investments on marketing spends,” said Jitendra Joshi, co−founder and CEO of SportzConsult.
“The growing adoption of sports for marketing among corporate India will be a win−win for both brands and consumers,” he said.
