Swimsuit model Niki Ghazian joked that she was one of the many Americans looking for one last end of the world romp as the Mayan calendar counted down to Dec. 21, or ‘Doomsday.’ Submitted photo
“One last end of world romp,” is the title of one post, authored by a purported 38-year-old man from Virginia on the classified advertisement website Craigslist.
“Feeling adventurous? We can try things you always wanted to try but never had,” he added.
Though it has been repeatedly debunked by government agencies across the globe, some believe the world will come to an abrupt end Dec. 21, corresponding to the end of the Mayan calendar.
The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said it has been flooded with more than 200 calls a day from people in search of reassurance the rumours of an impending doomsday are just a myth.
And while some people have purchased bunkers and “Doomsday survival kits,” others have taken to the web in search of one last sexual encounter.
“Looking for some fun tonight with a good looking girl before the world ends!
,” wrote a self-described 30-year-old Asian man in New York City.
“Please reply with a pic and the subject ‘doom’ so I know you’re real,” he said in the Craigslist ad.
Women are getting in on the action as well, posting ads in search of “End of the World Party” dates and hookups on Craigslist and the online dating site OkCupid, the New York Post reported.
“If I die, I don’t want to die on a dry spell!” model Niki Ghazian told The Post.
Ghazian, who works in both New York and Los Angeles, told the newspaper on Thursday she will attend a Doomsday eve party with hopes of one last hot hook-up before the end, The Post reported.
“Everybody should go out feeling satisfied,” said Ghazian. “If the world’s gonna end, why hold back?”
