Patna, Dec 1 (IANS) Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama will inaugurate a three-day international Buddhist convention here in January 2013, an official said Saturday.
The Dalai Lama will open the meet at the Buddha Memorial Park Jan 5, Patna Divisional Commissioner E.L.S.N. Prasad told IANS.
More than 1,500 delegates and followers of Buddhism, including from Thailand, Sri Lanka, China, Myanmar and Japan, were expected to take part, the official said.
