Designer Nidhi Munim showcases canvas of colours

Candolim (Goa), Nov 28 (IANS) Designer Nidhi Munim, who is debuting with the second edition of India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW), showcased a collection that was fun, flirty and sensuous with oodles of colours splurged on garments.

“I am extremely proud to launch my label with IRFW as I feel it’s a tremendous platform for a young designer like me. I hope people liked my line as I worked really hard to stand up to everyone’s expectation,” said Munim, who has styled for Bollywood celebrities, including Mallika Sherawat, Dipannita Sharma and Gul Panag.

The collection titled Bay Dream had a complete beach feel to it.

Inspired by the shades of happy women, the line was an amalgamation of swimwear and cover−ups in lot of ikkat prints and psychedelic patterns. From one−shoulder to thin−strapped halter necks, maxi−dresses and jumpers, there was everything for women planning a holiday.

“For me, the collection is ideal for all those who don’t want to go overboard with their selection of resortwear garments yet manage to look glamorous,” said Munim.
