After months of construction and 20,000 square feet of Surrey Central Mall’s upper level being converted into a state of the art gym, Vancouver Canucks hockey legend Trevor Linden will finally be able to swing open the doors to his newest Club 16 facility this week.
The public is invited to take a “sneak peek” of the new club on Wednesday and Thursday this week from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
The facility is designed with a separate women’s section, too – which will be a welcome addition in this culturally diverse area. Sandi is a new Surrey resident and says, “One of the things I’ve found in this city is that women’s only gyms are too small and the co-ed gyms are just uncomfortable or overcrowded. It will be interesting to see the new Club 16 this week and hopefully it’s a better fit for me. It’s on my way home from the Skytrain so the location is pretty great, too.”

Trevor Linden said in a statement that their promise is “At Club 16 – Trevor Linden Fitness we are genuinely committed to making your fitness fun. It matters to us that you are accepted, respected, and, above all, not judged. A non-intimidating atmosphere where anyone and everyone can feel comfortable and make the desired lifestyle changes, inside and out.”
