New Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) Children from slum clusters in east Delhi will spend better lives as an NGO will provide education and empower them and their families.
“We are working for the betterment of such people,” said Dipesh Singh, who founded Lakshya Aakriti Children’s Home 18 months ago here.
The NGO selected 23 children under 13 years of age from a slum cluster in Kalyanpuri area to develop their skills by providing education and empower their families under a project called H.E.L.P. (Health, Education, Livelihood, Possibility).
The NGO distributed clothes in slums of east Delhi Saturday.
“They are very vulnerable. They want care and direction,” said Pooja Srivastava, who left her job four months ago to help slum children.
An Australian NGO, Forget Me Not Children’s Home Australia (FMNCH), is Lakshya Aakriti Children’s Home’s official partner.
