Gurgaon, Nov 26 (IANS) On the fourth anniversary of the Mumbai terror attack, the NSG commandos Monday donated blood at a camp held at their Manesar training campus near here in Haryana as a mark of respect to their colleagues’ sacrifice during the carnage, an official said.
The commandos donated 128 units of blood, a National Security Guard (NSG) official said.
Nearly 400 commandos of the NSG, also known as ‘Black Cats’, had undertaken ‘Operation Black Tornado’ to eliminate nine Pakistani terrorists during the 2008 terror attacks on Mumbai.
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Havaldar Gajender Singh Bisht became the martyrs during the operation and many others were wounded.
Ajmal Kasab, a Pakistani terrorist who was captured alive during the carnage, was hanged in a Pune jail Nov 21.
