Congress declares candidates for Meghalaya polls

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) The Congress Sunday declared its candidates for the upcoming polls to the 60-member Meghalaya assembly.

The list, released by party general secretary Oscar Fernandes, has 55 candidates beloning to scheduled tribes.

The term of Meghalaya assembly will end March 10 this year.

The state has over 13 lakh voters.
