Ontario police are hoping Vancouverites can help them find two men wanted in connection with a murder that happened in Durham, Ont. earlier this year.
North Vancouver pizza shop owner Kamran Ahmadbeigi, was found shot dead in a Durham apartment driveway earlier this year.
It took several days for police to identify the B.C. man, who had been in Ontario for several hours before he was killed. He did not appear to have any connection to the place where he was found, although media reports at the time linked him to a B.C. gang called the Afghan Dragons, which is believed to have ties with the United Nations gang.
Police in Durham would not comment on the gang links, but recently issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Mississauga residents Shorsh Sad “Danny” Sivan, 31, and Nabaz Delr-Ismail, 28, who are wanted to face charges of second-degree murder.
In a statement, Durham police said there is a Vancouver connection to the case beyond the fact the victim was from the area. Sivan and Delr-Ismail are believed to have left Canada, but it is hoped someone in Vancouver may have information on their whereabouts.
