New Delhi, March 8 (IANS) A 45-year-old Delhi Police constable was injured after accidentally shooting himself with his own service weapon, police said Friday.
“Inder Singh was sitting inside a police patrolling vehicle in Vasant Vihar area of south Delhi early Friday when he accidentally fired at himself with his service weapon. Seven shots were fired of which four grazed his left shoulder,” said a police officer.
The other policemen inside the vehicle rushed took to All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) hospital. His condition is stable, police said.
“A case of negligence has been registered,” said an officer.
