Domestic help raped by locksmith in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS) A 25-year-old domestic help was allegedly raped by a locksmith, his relative and one other man when she was alone at her employer’s house, police said Friday.

The incident took place Dec 8 in west Delhi’s Vishnu Garden area.

The woman works at the house of a doctor, who was away at the time of the crime.

“Locksmith Gurwinder Singh Namdhari and his brother-in-law’s son Aman, have been arrested,” a police officer said.

The third accused is still untraced and on the run, police said.

According to the police officer, the case came to light on Thursday after the woman approached the Rajouri Garden police station and lodged her complaint.

“Namdhari had gone to repair a lock but when he found the woman was alone at home, he called Aman. They overpowered her and raped her,” said the officer.
