As much as 35 grams of cocaine and five cell phones were seized from the duo.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma told reporters Tuesday that the accused, who had come from Mumbai to sell the drugs during Christmas and New Year season, were arrested in the upmarket Jubilee Hills neighbourhood.
Okoro Mathias Chukwudi, 28, a Nigerian national, and Sanku Durga Prasad, a native of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, were both residing in Mumbai.
The Nigerian national, who arrived in Mumbai on a business visa in August this year, came in contact with drug peddler James, a Ghanian national, and started assisting him in selling of drugs in Mumbai.
The investigations revealed that James, while leaving for Ghana a month ago, handed over cocaine to Okoro and also introduced Durga Prasad, who was involved in drug peddling both in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
