Gurgaon, Dec 13 (IANS) Five people, allegedly involved in the Dec, 11 shooting in the ICU of a hospital here that claimed the life of a man and left his father critically injured, have been arrested, police said Thursday.
Of the eight accused, five people – Manoj Pradhan, Manjeet Raghav, Kalu a.k.a. Lakhan, Dinesh and Raju – were arrested for allegedly firing indiscriminately in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sunrise Hospital on Khandsa Road here, a police officer said.
Basant Raghav a.k.a. Fauji, the main accused in the incident, was still missing. His brother Mohan and Ramavtar are also accused in the case and were yet to be arrested.
All five arrested were in court Thursday before Judicial Magistrate (First class) Ashok Mann, who remanded them to two days’ police custody.
“Dinesh and Raju were arrested from Khandsa village, Manjeet and Kalu were nabbed from Kanina of Rewari district while Manoj was taken into custody from Rohtak,” Narender Kumar, chief of Kherki Daula police station said.
Over a dozen armed men Tuesday opened fire at Satbir Singh Raghav, a delivery driver, and his son Joginder a.k.a. Jony, in the ICU of Sunrise Hospital here following a dispute over parking of commercial vehicles.
The father-son duo was referred to the city’s Medicity Medanta Hospital, where Joginder succumbed to injuries while Satbir was later shifted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi.
