From murder to Lady Gaga, Australian tech company calculates Google’s strangest search terms

From how to hide a dead body to Lady Gaga trivia, Australian-based search agency Search Factory took it upon themselves to seek out “the crazy s**t people search for on Google.”

According to the company, they used the search engine’s keyword planner tool to calculate a number of worldwide monthly averages for the best of Google’s “crazy and weird” search terms – and this is what they found:

 

  • “How to hide a dead body:” 1,000 average monthly searches
  • “How to get away with murder:” 1,900 average monthly searches
  • “Cat dating:”  110 average monthly searches
  • “How to make my cat love me:” 390 average monthly searches
  • “Lady Gaga naked:” 135,000 average monthly searches
  • “Is Lady Gaga a man?” 18,100 average monthly searches
  • “How to ask a guy out:” 14,800 average monthly searches
  • “How to mend a broken heart:” 9,900 average monthly searches
  • “How to have an affair:” 5,400 average monthly searches
  • “Why did I get married?” 40,500 average monthly searches
  • “I hate my job:” 22,000 average monthly searches
  • “How to win the lottery:” 40,500 average monthly searches
  • “How do I use Google?” 100 average monthly searches
  • “How do I Google something?” 4,400 average monthly searches
  • “Is Santa real?” 60,500 average monthly searches
  • “Why do men have nipples?” 18,000 average monthly searches
