Premier Christy Clark will take a look at the province’s growing trade with India at the B.C.-India Global Business Forum March 11 and 12.
Clark, along with business and government leaders from India and British Columbia will meet to learn how to take advantage of each other’s export and investment opportunities.
“British Columbia has been working hard to expand our engagement with India,” Clark said in a release. “One of our top priorities is strengthening our existing partnerships and creating a business-friendly environment in which organizations from both India and B.C. can flourish.”
Clark aims to create greater awareness of British Columbia’s trading and investment advantages in India.
“By exploring mutually beneficial opportunities in each others’ markets and key sectors, the forum will provide B.C. companies with an opportunity to learn how to benefit from India’s fast-growing economy,” she said.
The forum begins March 11 with a networking reception at 5:00 p.m. at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. And the forum itself will take place on Tuesday, March 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
