He will regale fans in Pune and New Delhi Jan. 11 and Jan. 13.
“I am excited to be performing in India with my first ever concert tour. India produces some bangin’ music and movies, and I have always wanted to visit and be a part of that, ya dig? I want my gigs to be the best party for my fans and I can’t wait to show the country some love,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement.
“Get ready India, because here comes the king,” added the rapper.
He is expected to perform some of his biggest hits like “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” “Beautiful,” “Gin and Juice,” and “Who am I (What’s My Name),” as well as give a sneak preview into his new album “Reincarnated.”
Snoop Dogg, who had collaborated with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar for a music video of 2008 film “Singh Is Kinng,” will perform at Amanora Park in Pune and at Leisure Valley, Huda Grounds in Gurgaon.
Indigo Live, the event organizer, is bringing the artist to India for a two-city concert tour through Live Arena, a platform which aims to showcase the best of international artists in India.
“Snoop Dogg has a strong fan base in India and we are very happy to bring him here for a two-city concert tour. The Live Arena experience will be something new for the crowd and people will enjoy the holistic entertainment atmosphere that we will be creating,” said Shom Jagtiani, director and COO, Indigo Live.
Apart from the concert, Live Arena also promises to be a day-long party for the Indian fans of Snoop Dogg.
The gates to the concert will open at noon to let the audiences enjoy the party atmosphere, which will be spiced up by Indian disc jockeys, hip-hop artists, b-boying performances, gaming zones, interactive photo booths and food and beverage zones.
