Lucknow, Nov 29 (IANS) A gang of robbers Thursday barged into a bank in Kanpur city and looted Rs.15 lakh cash at gunpoint, police said.
The incident took place at the Bank of Baroda in the posh Kidwai Nagar this evening, Kanpur’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amitabh Yash told IANS.
As the criminals fled, the bank officials raised an alarm and the local police reached the crime scene. All roads from and to Kidwai Nagar were sealed but no arrests have been made so far.
Police were browsing through the CCTV footage to identify the robbers.
