HONOUR KILLING: Three sentenced to death for slaying of young couple in Punjab

The court awarded death sentence to Paramjit Kaur, mother of the slain woman, and her two relatives.
Rakesh Kumar, 20, and Pooja, 19, were found murdered in Ferozepur district, over 250 km from Chandigarh, nearly two years ago.
They were allegedly murdered by members of the girl’s’ family. Their bodies, which bore marks of attack by sharp-edged weapons, were found from farms.
The father of the slain man had complained to police about the killings.
