VANCOUVER DESI

If you’re looking to make a quick buck and you enjoy wedding season, a Vancouver-based bride has the gig for you.

In a Craigslist ad posted on Saturday, the apparent bride-to-be has put out the desperate plea for bridesmaids at her August wedding.

“I need bridesmaids for my wedding, I already have one but I’m (five) short,” the ad reads. “The groom is really popular and already has (six) groomsmen and I want the wedding pictures to look nice so we need an even number.”

Provided you attend all wedding related-events which run Aug. 24 to 30, the gig pays $20 per day – but, according to the ad, she’s willing to negotiate. But before salary is discussed, all applicants must meet a few “requirements.”

The bride is only looking for bridesmaids between 5’0 and 5’5, between a size 0 and a size 6, between the ages of 27 to 33 and must be attractive – “but not too attractive.” She also prefers a Punjabi speaking bridesmaid and would like for all applicants to be a good liar and actor, willing to memorize information about her and have an “agreeable personality, from a respectable family.”

And if the $20 a day doesn’t quite cut it, all food and drinks at the events are included.
