5 teams to compete in first Pakistan Super League Twenty20

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — A Pakistan Super League is set to be launched at the end of March with 30 foreign cricketers expected to play in five competing teams.
Haroon Lorgat, former chief executive of the International Cricket Council, says the PSL could generate “in excess of $100 million” and “people do not underestimate the potential” for the league in Pakistan.
The PCB has hired Lorgat as an adviser to help organize the PSL, which will feature five teams from different cities for the first three years.
PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf said he hopes players from leading cricket nations like Sri Lanka, Australia and South Africa would compete.
Pakistan has not hosted a foreign team since gunmen attacked Sri Lanka’s team bus at Lahore in 2009, killing six police officers and a van driver.
