Andre-Pierre Gignac, Rod Fanni give Marseille 2-0 win over Sochaux in French league 2nd round

PARIS — Andre-Pierre Gignac and Rod Fanni scored to give Marseille a 2-0 win against Sochaux in the French league on Sunday.
Marseille’s second win in the opening two rounds means it is in second place in the standings, trailing Lyon on goal difference.
In other results, Bordeaux defeated Rennes 1-0 from a goal by Ludovic Obraniak.
Later Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain faces Ajaccio with both teams looking for their first win of the season.
