KHULNA, Bangladesh — West Indies paceman Darren Sammy took two wickets late in the first session Wednesday to remove both batsmen involved in a promising second-wicket partnership as Bangladesh struggled to 88-3 at lunch after winning the toss and batting in the second cricket test.
After Fidel Edwards had Nazimuddin (4) caught with the total at five in the third over, Tamim Iqbal and Shahriar Nafees combined in a 49-run stand to lift the total to 64 before Sammy struck.
He had Nafees caught behind for 26 in the 19th over and then bowled Iqbal for 32 in the 23rd over.
At the interval, Naeem Islam was unbeaten on 15 and Shakib Al Hasan was unbeaten on eight.
