Captain Misbah-ul-Haq calls for international cricket to return to Pakistan

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — Misbah-ul-Haq says it’s time for international cricket to consider returning to Pakistan.
Arriving in South Africa for a three-test series, the Pakistan captain says “the world really has to think about just bringing cricket back there” because the country is “such a big cricketing nation.”
Pakistan hasn’t hosted a test since Sri Lanka’s team bus was attacked by gunmen near a stadium in Lahore in 2009. Pakistan has been forced to play its home series in United Arab Emirates since because of the security concerns.
The batsman also says the upcoming test series against top-ranked South Africa will be a challenge, but Pakistan is “ready to take challenges.”
Pakistan will play three tests, two Twenty20 games and five one-day internationals in South Africa.
