Chanderpaul, Ramdin continue crushing Bangladesh attack on day 2 of 1st test

DHAKA, Bangladesh — Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Dinesh Ramdin continued to crush Bangladesh’s attack as West Indies reached 437-4 at lunch on day two of the first cricket test.
Resuming Wednesday at 361-4, West Indies batted for 28 overs and added 76 runs without losing a wicket in the morning session. Chanderpaul added 33 runs to his overnight score to reach 156 and Ramdin was unbeaten on 84 at the break.
Kieran Powell scored 117 on Tuesday to help set the foundation for a big West Indies total.
After taking three wickets on the first day, rookie offspinner Sohag Gazi was unable to make another breakthrough as bowling figures blew out to
3-120.
