MOhali, Jan 23 (IANS) Former England captain Paul Collingwood Wednesday lauded compatriot Joe Root for his performance in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) against India here at the PCA Stadium Wednesday.
Root, who made his debut in the ongoing series, scored an unbeaten, explosive 57 off 45 balls – hitting eight fours and a six – to propel the visitors past the 250-mark.
“No matter what happens in this series, @joeroot05 has made his mark on International cricket. What a find #IndvEng,” tweeted Collingwood.
This was Root’s fourth career ODI game which India won by five wickets.
Collingwood is in India doing commentary for the series.
