JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — South Africa has a commanding 411-run lead in the first test after dismissing Pakistan for just 49 on day two at the Wanderers on Saturday.
Dale Steyn took remarkable figures of 6-8, which gave South Africa a first-innings lead of 204.
Ignoring the follow-on option, the Proteas then advanced to 207-3 at stumps for an overall lead of 411 with three days still to play.
AB de Villiers, on 61, and Hashim Amla, on 50, were the two unbeaten batsmen for South Africa, while Graeme Smith made 50 in the second innings of his 100th test as captain.
