Kolkata, Dec 8 (IANS) Indian bowlers quickly dismissed the last four wickets of the England innings when play resumed on the fourth day of the third cricket Test Saturday to restrict the visitors’ first-innings lead to 207 here at the Eden Gardens.
England resuming at 509/6 added 14 runs in 4.3 overs to take their first innings score to 523, a position from where they cannot lose the match.
India struck in the first over on resumption as left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha induced Graeme Swann 21 (46b 3×4) to edge one to Virender Sehwag at slip.
At the other end, Zaheer Khan got Matt Prior 41 (49b 6×4 1×6) caught behind in the next over.
Offie Ravichandran Ashwin then removed James Anderson (9) caught at slip and Monty Panesar trapped in front off successive balls.
Ojha was the most successful bowler for India with 4 for 142 in 52 overs, Ashwin finished with 3 for 183 while Khan and Ishant Sharma took a wicket a each.
