Canada’s largest South Asian broadcaster, Asian Television Network (ATN), has signed on with India’s Pro-Kabaddi League.

The eight-team league launched on July 26 and runs through the end of August. ATN will broadcast all 60 games across six channels in English, Hindi and Punjabi. CBN and ATN Cricket Plus will have the English commentary, while the Hindi & Punjabi feeds will be spread over four other channels.

The eight franchises, from Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Mumbai, Pune, Vizag and Jaipur, travel together to each venue, where each weekend’s games will all feature.

“We want to promote kabaddi in Canada and showcase it as a world-class sport,” ATN president and CEO Dr. Shan Chandrasekar said in a press release.

The final weekend at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru will see the top four teams on points from the group stages compete in the semi final round on August 29th, with the final round on the 31st.
