Kevin Pietersen left out of England’s World Twenty20 squad following on-going text message row

LONDON — England has left Kevin Pietersen out of its squad for the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka next month to leave the batsman’s future with the national team unresolved.
Pietersen was dropped for England’s final test against South Africa after admitting sending “provocative” text messages to members of the opposition.
That ensured his participation in the three-match T20 series against South Africa and the World T20 was always going to be unlikely.
National selector Geoff Miller announced Tuesday that “Pietersen’s future involvement is still being determined and he was therefore not considered for selection in either squad.”
