Ranji Trophy: Punjab, Services, Andhra win

New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS) Punjab, Andhra and the Services posted easy wins against their respective opponents in the fourth round of the Ranji Trophy matches Monday.

Punjab beat Saurashtra by eight wickets in Group A to notch up their third win in four rounds of the Ranji Trophy 2012/13 season. The hosts needed only three days to win the tie and take home six points while Saurashtra are yet to win a match this season.

In Group C, Andhra and the Services also won big against Jammu and Kashmir and Assam, respectively.

Andhra beat Jammu and Kashmir in an away match at the Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground, Jammu, by an innings and 15 runs to take home seven points, including a bonus one. This was Andhra’s first win of the season.

Hosts Services beat Assam by 10 wickets to win their first match of the season and bag seven points at the Model Sports Complex, Delhi.

In Bhubaneswar: Gujarat 117 all out and 288/6 in 124 overs (Parthiv Patel 65, Manprit Juneja batting 57, Smit Patel 55; Sanjay Bangar 2/49) vs Railways 308 all out in 90.3 overs
