Russia, Brazil to cooperate in Olympics, World Cup preparations
Moscow, Dec 15 (IANS) Russia and Brazil will work together to prepare for the the winter Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
“In the coming years, Russia and Brazil host the biggest sporting events, Olympic Games and football World Cups. We have agreed to closely cooperate in exchange of experience, experts training, security and logistics,” Putin said following his talks with the visiting Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
Rousseff responded she hoped Russian and Brazilian football teams would meet in the World Cup’s final or semifinal, reports Xinhua.
Russia will host the winter Olympics in 2014 and FIFA World Cup in 2018. Brazil will host the World Cup in 2014 and summer Olympics in 2016.
