South Africa 68-2 after 1st session with Pakistan in 1st test at the Wanderers

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — Two wickets in five deliveries allowed Pakistan to claim a share of the first session spoils as South Africa reached lunch at 68-2 on day one of the first test.
Openers Graeme Smith and Alviro Petersen were the batsmen dismissed in quick succession after the duo made a tentative start at the Wanderers.
Petersen was caught at third slip off the bowling of Junaid Khan for 20, while Smith, on 24, edged Umar Gul through to wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed off the first delivery of the next over.
Smith had won the toss and elected to bat in his 100th test as captain.
