India is already making headlines as the Commonwealth Games officially kick off in Glasgow – but not for sporting-related reasons.

In an official song released for the 2014 sporting event called Let the Games Begin, Scottish school children are shown holding up country flags while welcoming athletes to the country – but when it’s time for India’s flag to be displayed around the 2:40 mark, it’s being held upside down.

Some Indian sporting fans took to social media to express their outrage at the blunder.

According to Indian broadcasters NDTV, Indian Chef de Mission Raj Singh claimed he will write to the Commonwealth Games organizing committee asking for the error to be rectified.

The 11-day event officially kicked off in Glasgow on Wednesday.
