Sri Lanka wins one-day series after crushing New Zealand in 4th match with 5 overs to spare

HAMBANTOTA, Sri Lanka — Dinesh Chandimal and Kumar Sangakkara shared an 87-run partnership to lead Sri Lanka to a seven-wicket win over New Zealand in a rain-hit fourth one-day international on Saturday.
The win gives Sri Lanka an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series with one match left.
Put into bat, New Zealand made 131 for eight after the match was reduced to 32 overs because of rain at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium.
Sri Lanka reached the target of 131 calculated under the Duckworth/Lewis method with more than five overs to spare.
Chandimal made 43 while Sangakkara was unbeaten on 42.
