Warner, Starc half centuries lead Australia to 222-9 in 4th ODI vs. Sri Lanka

SYDNEY, Australia — David Warner and Mitchell Starc made half centuries to hold together a fractured innings, leading Australia to 222 for nine in the fourth one-day cricket international against Sri Lanka.
Nuwan Kulasekara and Lasith Malinga produced outstanding spells of outswing bowling to undo the Australian top order Sunday, reducing the home side to 53-3 as it batted first after winning the toss.
Warner made 60 from 73 balls — his half century from 57 deliveries — to shore up the Australian top order before falling to a contentious lbw decision at 125-5.
Starc then blasted an unbeaten 52 from 37 balls to swell the Australian total as it battled to prevent Sri Lanka gaining a winning 3-1 series lead.
